Chamomile Blossom Tea

$18.50

Our whole chamomile blossoms come from a German variety renowned for their effects and taste.

Tracking back into early Greek and Egyptian history, this tea has been enjoyed and used for a range of medicinal purposes for millennia. If you guys think flowers sound girly, this one was used to flavour beer before hops came into the play.

While many people go to this brew to ease hay fever, soothe a stomach ache, sort out insomnia or keep stress at bay, the soothing smell and taste of this needs no excuse to pick up and enjoy.

Smooth and relaxing, this herbal tea with a subtle apple-like taste and satisfying floral aromas will help you relax but won't hinder your focus if you need to stay alert. Sweet-smelling with a lingering, feel-good aftertaste.

Chamomile is particularly effective at making you feel sleepy because of its chemical structure. The plant extract contains apigenin, a compound that induces sleepiness when it binds to the GABA receptors in the brain. GABA receptors, it has a sedative and relaxing effect — that's why chamomile tea can make you feel sleepy.

The best thing too is that the more consistently you drink each night the better the effectiveness it has. Plus as a herbal drink, it has no caffeine in it.
